The Outer West Investment Conference - A great success.

The Outer West Investment Conference, arranged and facilitated by the Hammarsdale Cato Ridge Development Association, was held on the morning of 10 November 2022 at Butlers Ranch in Drummond and was a huge success.

The event was oversubscribed with more than 90 people in attendance and some having to stand.

Presentations included the following:-

  1. Kelvin Kotze, development manager of Hammarsdale Industrial Park and HCRDA Infrastructure Chair gave a good overview of the area, the HCRDA association, etc.
  2. Siphele Kweyama from eThekwini Municipality presented on Catalytic Projects with particular reference to Westown, Keystone Park and the Cato Ridge Inland Port.
  3. Rob McInerney of Share-List Property discussed some of the reasons for investing in the area, recent transactions and some of the great opportunities still available.
  4. Gerald Williams from Value Logistics discussed their development plans.
  5. Warwick Lord of the Cato Ridge Logistics Hub Consortium spoke about the Cato Ridge Inland Port - A multimodal logistics hub and the benefits of such.
  6. Ravi Ronny from Sanral discussed progress on the magnificent upgrades to the N3 and some of the future plans for upgrades to both the N2 and the N3.
  7. Florian Kloebe from Astrum Energy spoke about independent power producer agreements that can provide utility Scale PV and Wind Energy to large power users in the Outer West.

John White encouraged those, that aren't yet members of the HCRDA, to join so that the association can continue with the good work. He also invited delegates to stay on for some networking and delicious snacks.
